Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.
But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.
So much for normal.
In the sequel to Paranormalcy, Kiersten White takes off right where her debut left off. Our heroine - Evie, is the very same pink-crazy girl we all came to love in Paranormalcy, and more.
Kiersten White's latest is action-packed with the right amount of humor that just blends right in. I'm sure this will earn a punch from most of you, but I have to say I like Reth a lot more than Lend. And Jack, the newest addition to Evie's circle of crazy, seems to be more than just the uber-hyper boy with an unusual power. But Evie's world is far from normal anyway, right?
Kiersten White's writing style is unique in almost every way. It has that light tone, that, at the same time, urges you on with a sense of seriousness that I haven't seen much. Not only is her writing unique, so is White's world. Supernaturally features almost every paranormal creature - in their 'true' form, as we can see them through Evie's 'glamour filter'. It's fun and very different.
All in all, Supernaturally is a fun, light read, perfect to toss into your bag before you head out to the beach. I'd recommend it to anyone!
Matches the first book perfectly, and I think it portrays one of my favorite scenes from the book!

I want to read it, until the end of the year. I got so many books at home that I don't know when I'll be able to buy that one.
ReplyDeleteBut I will!!! =)
I can't wait to read this! I loved Paranormalcy, so looking forward to Supernaturally. Glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteOOh really? The cover is a scene in the book! Awesome! Because I love the cover! Can't remember too much from Supernaturally, since I read it too many books ago, so hopefully there's a recap of sorts! Copy's already preordered and I can't wait to read it! Great review!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that this one sounds just as amazing as the first!
ReplyDelete*drool* Pre-ordered this one and, though I don't want it to be the end of July yet, I can't wait to read this one! Thanks for a great review.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading,

I liked Supernaturally but I liked Paranormalcy a lot more. My favorite part in Supernaturally was when Evie encountered a unicorn, that was hilarious. Great Review!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Supernaturally. I do think Paranormalcy was better, but this was still a great addition to the series. I'm highly anticipating Endlessly. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to read this now! XD
