The Power of Six takes off right where I am Number Four left off, although John Smith, Four, isn't the only narrator this time around. We get a glimpse of life through the eyes of another member of the Garde, Seven, also known as Marina. Marina just so happens to live on the other side of the world, in little old Spain with a Cepan very unlike Henri (John's Cepan).
Of course, life is tough for them both, and the remainder of the surviving Garde. But The Power of Six isn't just about running from danger, it's about betrayal, secrets, and hinting at larger things yet to be discovered in the remaining books in the Lorien Legacies.
One thing's for sure, The Power of Six won't disappoint. It will be all you've been expecting and more. Much more. The only downside? We'll have to wait another year for the next book!
A note for those of you who didn't know: The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore is the second in a planned six book series (dubbed The Lorien Legacies).
Its completely opposite to the first one's cover, and I love that they both revolve around elements, more over, the Legacies!
I didn't like I Am Number Four that much...
ReplyDeleteOne of the very few movies I thought was better than the book. Well, Alex Pettyfer does change the game, if you know what I mean... hahahahhahahahaha
I though book 1 was very slow... some parts were so boring. But I have to agree that the action part was pretty amazing.
I LOVEEEEDDDDD Seven, she rocks! So if this books has some parts on her pov, I guess I'll give it a try!

ReplyDeleteI haven't read I am Number Four but it's always a good thing when the sequel is as great as the first book. Now I'll have to add I am Number Four to my wishlist or watch the movie (lol or do both) since the series sounds awesome and very action-packed.
ReplyDeleteI completely wrote off this series after all the controversy surrounding the authors but now I'm kind of doubting that decision. It really does sound like a series I would really enjoy from your review!

ReplyDeleteI haven't read the first one so I didn't read your review, but I liked at your rating and yay that you liked it! Hopefully I can read the first one soon'ish. I don't feel a super strong urge to read it though so it might be awhile. I do have it though!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read I Am Number Four but I saw the movie and really enjoyed the overall premise:) It's always so hard to have to wait a full year in between books though, I'm just not a patient person!

ReplyDeleteI finally saw the movie for I AM NUMBER FOUR! Oh my goodness Alex was hot! But also, Number Six was soooo cool and badass!! I'm excited to find out how the books compare :)
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm not a huge fan of this series. I did enjoy this book. I thought it was better than the first. The action was better. I'm actually pretty excited for the next book!
