   Megan Miranda's debut is a much-craved for standalone that will keep you turning the pages faster than you can think. With a unique plot and praiseworthy main character, there's nothing you'll find missing in Fracture.

   Delaney Maxwell is your average teen. She's not rich, nor poor. She studies hard, keeps her grades as high as can be. She's average up until she becomes the miracle, the anomaly, the fluke. Because after 11 minutes, she should've been dead. She should have stayed dead. But six days of coma later, she wakes up, seeming perfectly fine. But the pull is there. The inexplicable pull to something. At first, she's desperate for the reason. But when she finds out... she doubts she's even human anymore.

   Fracture moves at a perfect pace. The characters were perfect, fleshed out, and each played their own unique part. The scientific elements turned out more like a hint of paranormal - an aspect I loved. Our protagonist, Delaney, is pretty easy to relate to, and you won't find yourself turning your nose up in disgust at the decisions she makes.

   In the end, I really enjoyed how the story played out. Fracture isn't a part of a series, so you won't find a dreaded cliffhanger on the last page. You'll close the book, smile, and eagerly anticipate Megan Miranda's next work of fiction.
