THE FALSE PRINCE is the thrilling first book in a brand-new trilogy filled with danger and deceit and hidden identities that will have readers rushing breathlessly to the end.

In a discontent kingdom, civil war is brewing. To unify the divided people, Conner, a nobleman of the court, devises a cunning plan to find an impersonator of the king's long-lost son and install him as a puppet prince. Four orphans are recruited to compete for the role, including a defiant boy named Sage. Sage knows that Conner's motives are more than questionable, yet his life balances on a sword's point -- he must be chosen to play the prince or he will certainly be killed. But Sage's rivals have their own agendas as well.

As Sage moves from a rundown orphanage to Conner's sumptuous palace, layer upon layer of treachery and deceit unfold, until finally, a truth is revealed that, in the end, may very well prove more dangerous than all of the lies taken together.

An extraordinary adventure filled with danger and action, lies and deadly truths that will have readers clinging to the edge of their seats.

The False prince was complete awesomeness. The False Prince was everything a good book should be. Once I finished reading it, I immediately started reading it again. It has so many twists and turns that even if you hated reading you wouldn't want to put this book down. I first saw this book on Good reads and as I read the summary I was like O.K. this looks like a pretty good book but I had no idea that I would ever be able to read it.

So when my older sister gave it to me I eagerly took it and began to read it. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed at all. It just has so much action and adventure in it that it could also be described a thriller.... almost. And even though there are plenty of books with the same story line I doubt they're as good as this. Jennifer Nielsen has truly done a wonderful job writing this book and I cant wait for the second book to come out. Even though the book says that this would be great for kids 8 through 14 I'm a hundred percent sure it will be enjoyable to people of any age.

The only thing that I didn't like was that it wasn't that long, if it was I would've been able to have enjoyed it longer. That's the only problem I had with the book. Because it was just great other than that. I rate the book and the cover 5 stars.
