It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

You won't find any suffering second book syndromes here.

Veronica Rossi is back with her sophomore novel full of twists and turns and a love that burns. THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT, the amazing sequel to UNDER THE NEVER SKY, rushes off with stakes higher than ever, danger pulsing off the pages, and a love that will bring hope to a world so perilous.

I doubt anyone could pull off a dual point of view narrated in the third person - and keep both main characters thoroughly unique and lovable. Anyone but Veronica Rossi, that is.

Aria's shift from being a clueless Dweller to a full-fledged Outsider (who isn't afraid to slash those knives) is so noticeable, so real, the execution of it can only be called genius. Perry's doubts and hardships are just as genuine. And in a world where the sky is an ever moving mass of electric currents, readers need the real and genuine to hold them firm.

The plot itself never falters. Perry and Aria are on the move from page one and every chapter manages to end on a high note with a strong emotion emanating from either Aria or Perry. My heart bled for Roar - my favorite character in Veronica Rossi's debut world. And I found a way to accept Soren by the time I flipped the last page.

In one word, THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT can be described as genius. Veronica Rossi weaves a story so rich and whole, it would be a shame not to read it. And if you haven't read UNDER THE NEVER SKY, you might want to get on that. Pronto.

  3. I totally agree with you about the narrative: dual POV, third person, is by far my least favorite narrative type, but Rossi made it work splendidly. I loved this book so much! Wonderful review!

  6. I did like it better than the first book, but I'm still not blown away by this series. I'm just not connecting to the characters as much as I'd like. But it's a good read.

  17. I LOVED Under the Never Sky. So very much! I hoped that the sophmore novel would live up to the first, but I wasn't so sure. And I definitely didn't think that it could surpass the excellence of Under.... It did, boy it did! I was captured on the first page and it kept my attention until the very last word. This book is amazing. This Series is amazing. This author is amazing. I cannot wait for the final book in the series. I am expecting nothing but total epicness, and perfection!
