Blog Hop (7) & Follow Friday (8)

Posted by on November 5, 2010
Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is a meme sponsored by Jennifer at Crazy For Books.
My answer to this week’s Blog Hop question:

What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?

I have never stopped following a blog, though sometimes I feel like I want to because that person never followed back even after I left a comment for it, but I never did it :)
I did lose a follower this week, it really upset me, I don’t what I did wrong! :(

And…(of course) its Follow Friday

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View.
This week’s question is:

Who are your favorite authors?

Sorry I’m late for this week’s question, everyone! I didn’t get a chance to get on the computer until now (2:18pm)!!

My favorite authors are:
Lesley Hauge – author of Nomansland, not only is her book really book, Lesley herself is a very nice person.

Julie Kagawa – author of The Iron Fey series, she’s totally funny, nice, and is not only a writer, but also a gaming nerd :D

and Michael Grant – author of the Gone series, I don’t know much about him, but I love his series!

Follow me, and leave a link so I can follow you back!

  1. Stopping by on the Blog Hop. Happy Friday! I've lost two followers since I started…and I have no idea what I did/didn't do either. Oh well, can't please everyone all of the time. :-)

  2. Hi I just found your blog via the hop-I like your design a lot and am now a new follower-I look forward to reading your future posts

  3. Hopping through. I'm an old follower. I hate losing followers too, even though I assume people are just housecleaning. I have to remind myself that it's not personal (at least I doubt it is).

  4. I am hopping in for the blog hop. I'm a new follower, too!

We seem to like a lot of the same books, so I am looking forward to reading more of your reviews. I am very interested in what you have to say about Hunger.

If you have time, drop in and say hi at Manga Maniac Cafe

  5. I'm always a little bummed when I lose followers but make every effort to
turn every lost follower into a learning experience so I can improve my

On the flip side, I only stop following people when they give me a reason to
such as being totally off message or being too controversial in an negative,
    over-the-top way.

    Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

    Howard Sherman

  6. I would ask you to follow my blog, but you are already our most loyal follower!

Hafsah, you've done so great with your blog and I've really enjoyed seeing it become such a success. TheBookishSnob is right: it's hard not to take it personally when someone stops following you, but the important thing is that I am following you. Okay, just kidding. The important thing is that you keep doing what you love. The people who have the same passions as you will follow.

  7. Thanks for following my blog. Love yours and I'm a follower! If you love the Iron Fey series, try Tyger Tyger by Kersten Hamilton. Yes, I'm doing a giveaway, but seriously… I would have recommended it regardless. She's one of my faves (I have too many to mention in just one post!! lol).

  8. Hi,
Just hopping by. I check in at a lot of blogs (have them bookmarked) but forget to “follow” sometimes because my blog doesst have the GFC thing. You can't take it personally :)

  9. Old follower/lover <3

Aw, I just got my first person who un-followed me, too! I always wondered what I did that made them unfollow. But I'd prefer dedicated, loyal followers that become my friends to random unknowns, so one or two lost followers doesn't hurt as much. :)

You always mention Nomansland.. It must be really good. I should read it. =x

  10. I stopped in today via the Hop. I'm a new follower!

As for me, I see people come and people go. I'm mostly interested in having people stop in every now and then, rather than having a gee-normous number of followers.

(Though, I must be honest, I do love having new followers!)
