Blog Hop (8) and Follow Friday (9)

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is a meme sponsored by Jennifer at Crazy For Books.
My answer to this week’s Blog Hop question:

If you find a book that looks interesting but is a part of a series, do you always start with the first title?

Yes, if I don’t, I feel like I’m missing out on a whole lot of details :D

And…(of course) its Follow Friday

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View.
This week’s question is:

What’s your usual monthly book budget?

Haha, I don’t buy books at all. I don’t have any money, lol.
I check books out at the library and win some, but the last time
I purchased a book was a looong time ago!

Follow me, and leave a link so I can follow you back!

I wish I could say I didn't purchase any books. My bank account would be so much happier! I have an obsession with buying and owning books — I just have to do it! I'm attempting to build my own library, so hopefully that's where all this money spending will lead!

Thanks for checking out my blog! Yours is really cute!

Smart idea! Checking out books from the library. If I did that then I'd have more money to you know.. actually buy groceries.

Where would we be without a good library service? Poorer and with more need for shelving I expect. I don't buy many new books but I do buy quite a lot at charity shops etc for very little cost plus the money goes to a good cause.

Hey! I'm your newest follower; just stopping by on the hop to wish you a great weekend!

I wish my monthly book budget was $0. I'd be rich! ;) Naah, mine's not so bad. Anything under $100 I find is acceptable for me.

I always go back to the first book and read it. Monthly budget and I don't work well together as far as books are concerned. We love each other and spoil the other rotten. ;)

    Good Morning!

    Happy Friday.

Old follower here. I’m doing all three of the Friday blog runs. I don’t limit myself to budget with books. I just love to read and write so that line is always doable for me. And Yes, I love start a series at the 1st book.

The library was my lifeline when I was younger. We're still there all the time, but I buy way too many books too.
    I'm enjoying your blog!

Hi there Hafsah! Just hoppin' on by. <3

Dude, finally someone as poor as me! High-five, Hafsah! xD My book budget is $0! I'm a poor college student, so I only borrow books from the library or read in Barnes and Noble while hogging their air conditioning. :)

I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
    doesn't run chronologically.

That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.

On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.

    Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!
