Blog Hop (13) & Follow Friday (14)

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is a meme sponsored by Jennifer at Crazy For Books.
My answer to this week’s Blog Hop question:

What do you consider the most important in a story:
the plot or the characters?

To me, the plot is the most important part of a story. The plot is what helps me decide whether or not to pick up a particular book and read it. Characters don’t really change my thoughts on a book.

And…(of course) its Follow Friday

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View.
My answer to this week’s Follow Friday question:

What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?

I’m only 17 and still in high school. But I plan on going into web design or computer programming, but I’m not so sure right now. We’ll see ;)

  1. This week's questions was so hard! I'm a fence sitter. Without the plot, characters have no reason to interact or be together in the first place. But, the characters are what usually keep me reading and why I invest my time in the book.

  2. Haha, I am the complete opposite. Characters do it for me. I'll put up with a mediocre plot if the characters are good, but a plot will have to be fantastic for it to keep my attention with bad characters.

    I love your cupcakes!

  3. I did not go to college, and I am currently retired. I worked for over 15 years in the secretarial division of Emery Air Freight in the 1960s and 1970s. I was a stay-at-home mom for the 1980s and 1990s, and now I am helping my daughter with her business, Tribute Books as the volunteer office manager.

  4. I chose plot too! But characters are a close second. If the plot doesn't even motivate me to buy the book then the characters and I won't get along, but if the characters are really trying my patience in a bad way then I might stop as well. But usually even if I dislike a character's habits or ways I don't totally throw the book out.

    Here's my Hop

  5. Hi there. I just wanted to say that I love your jewelry. I just bought myself a necklace and also bought a magnet for my good friend who lives very far away from me. I'm so excited that you make this jewelry and you have to come up with more!! I'd love to see a bracelet or two… I wish I could make this type of stuff for us book lovers. Anyway. I'm a new follower, and I'll be SO tweeting about you as well as sharing your link on my FB page for my blog. Stop by my blog anytime. I'd love to hear from you! You ROCK.
