IMM (56) — A Creepy Squeaky Doll and Disenchantments

Posted by on November 12, 2011
In My Mailbox is a meme created by The Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie! It features a list of what books you have received over the previous week, either for review, from the library, or from the bookstore.

For Review:
Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne (with a creepy doll!)
There is no Dog by Meg Rosoff (not sure I’ll read this one, as it falls under Religion)
Truth by Julia Karr  (still have to read XVI!)
Radiant Days by Elizabeth Hand (never heard of it until now)
The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour (Excited for this one!)

Gifted from Lisa Austin:
Hourglass by Myra McEntire (which has been on my wishlist forever!)

A HUGE thanks to the Penguin for their surprise packages! And thanks to Lisa for being such an awesome friend.

So… what was in your mailbox this week?

  1. Ohhs! The doll is cute and creepy in a way…I want Truth and The Disenchantments! :O

Lisa is great! She bought me a book too…come by later tomorrow night for my IMM. :]

  2. HARBINGER!! Ha, and creepy doll :D I am so crazy excited to read that book, it sounds amazing and the cover is SO gorgeous. Also excited for The Disenchantments too! Interested in reading your thoughts on Hourglass when you read it, I have a copy sitting lonely in my bookshelf, must get to reading it soon!

    Awesome mailbox, enjoy! :)

  3. Harbinger looks like it's right up my alley! (Immediate wishlist addition) And I love the creepy doll – sort of looks like a strange mix between a voodoo doll and a gingerbread man…

I hope you enjoy your books!
