Waiting on Wednesday (75) — What’s Left of Me by Kat Zhang

Posted by on February 22, 2012
“Waiting On” Wednesday spotlights upcoming releases that everyone’s excited about (created by Jill at Breaking The Spine.)

What's Left of Me (Hybrid, #1)

NEVER LET ME GO meets HIS DARK MATERIALS in a beautiful, haunting YA debut, the first book in The Hybrid Trilogy.

Eva and Addie live in a world where everyone is born with two souls, but where only the dominant one is allowed to survive childhood. Fifteen years old, and closer even than twins, the girls are keeping Eva, the ‘second soul’, a secret. They know that it’s forbidden to be hybrid, but how could they ever be apart?

When a dramatic event reveals what really happens to hybrids if they are discovered, Eva and Addie face a dangerous fight for survival, neither wanting to be the one left behind…

What’s Left of Me will be released on September 18th, 2012 by HarperTeen.

  2. This book sounds amazing! I love the cover too and how it shows half the girl's face. I think it really works with the title too. So mysterious! Great pick!

  3. Oh my gosh, I really want to read this book too! I was first pulled in by that cover because it's so simple yet pretty and eye-catching at the same time. And the fact that it's about hybrids makes it sound even cooler! I don't think there are many books like this out there! :)

Awesome pick for your WOW, Hafsah! Super duper pumped for this one to release too! ;)

  4. So many people are talking about this one now that it has a cover. I can not wait to see more of this one as it gets closer to the release date.

I hope you enjoy this WOW book once it releases!

  5. I just heard about this one a few days ago and have it scheduled to go as one of my WoW picks in a few weeks – it sounds so good! I was also won over as soon as I read His Dark Materials in the description.

    Great pick!
