Jacket Cover Reveal: THE NIGHTMARE AFFAIR by Mindee Arnett

Today, I’m super excited to be a part of Mindee Arnett’s jacket reveal for her debut THE NIGHTMARE AFFAIR.

Tor.com revealed the cover yesterday on their website, but we’ve got the full jacket cover, which looks awesome! Plus – I’ve got a giveaway for you too, right after the break ;)

The Nightmare Affair

16-year-old Dusty Everhart breaks into houses late at night, but not because she’s a criminal. No, she’s a Nightmare.

Being the only Nightmare at Arkwell Academy, a boarding school for magickind, and living in the shadow of her mother’s infamy is hard enough, but when Dusty sneaks into Eli Booker’s house, things get a whole lot more complicated. He’s hot, which means sitting on his chest and invading his dreams couldn’t get much more embarrassing.

But it does.

Eli is dreaming of a murder. The setting is Arkwell.

And then his dream comes true. Now Dusty has to follow the clues—both within Eli’s dreams and out of them—to stop the killer before more people turn up dead. And before the killer learns what she’s up to and marks her as the next target…

And now for the jacket cover! (Click to enlarge and see it in all its glory!)

What do you think?

As promised, here’s the giveaway!
The book is due out March 5, 2013, but in the meantime, we’re celebrating with a giveaway. The first winner will receive an ARC of Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake as well as a signed ARC of The Nightmare Affair when they come available in October. The second winner will receive an ARC of RENEGADE by J. A. Souders as well as a signed ARC of The Nightmare Affair.

Not surprisingly, I ADORE the cover. I'm always a lover of illustrated, vector art covers like Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone and also The Night Circus!

WOW! How amazing does this book sound Hafsah! I need it immediately. *shakes fist at March for being so far away* I absolutely adore the nightmare angle, that's something I definitely have not read about before, and I can't wait to see what she does with it. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win!

This sounds intensly creepy and totally fantastic! The cover is very dark and mysterious- which totally works with the synopsis of the book. I'm so excited to read this book now!

Love the cover. The purple is so pretty. It actually reminds me of the cover of another book I read recently, Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan.

This cover looks so eye-catching because it's cartoony and whimsical and unlike all the YA books you usually see with real-life models and all that :)

I LOVE the cover, so different than the usual YA covers withe girl models (which is really getting annoying – we need more illustrations!).

This is an awesome cover! It's really different and “artsy” and that's what I love about it. It's not the kind of cover you might get mixed up with another book because the models look similar or . Love it! Thanks so much for the giveaway. Fingers crossed :)

I don't really love the cover. I think it's too animated for a book with a plot as amazing as this one.

I'm glad they didn't go for the orange and black or the red and black. These seems much better from what it synopsis.
