Boring Exteriors and Beautiful Interiors – A GIF post

Yes, yes. I have returned.

We all know the saying – “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” But let’s be honest, shall we? We still judge them. And although those books with pretty exteriors and boring interiors tend to get lucky, what about those books with hideous covers and beautiful insides?

A couple of those books with bleh covers and compelling interiors:

Premeditated

PREMEDITATED by Josin L. McQuein
I’m not really a big fan of this cover, but the story is amazing. The girl looks extremely old…

Twinmaker

TWINMAKER by Sean Williams
I will admit that I actually laughed at this cover, but to my surprise this book was pretty good. The Australian cover is amazing though.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns

THE GIRL OF FIRE AND THORNS by Rae Carson
I haven’t read this trilogy, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. But I do love the international covers for the series.

Sentinel

SENTINEL by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Although I really liked the other covers, this one was pretty bland in contrast.

Okay… So it appears I haven’t read many books with ugly exteriors and pretty interiors. Sure, I’ve read a few books with pretty covers and remarkably boring insides, but that is a post for another day.

So, what books have you read with ugly exteriors and pretty interiors?

Twinmaker made me lol too. I thought it was an Amish girl the first time I saw it from afar on Tea Time. Great post!
