Beauty and the Beast – A GIF Post

Posted by on January 25, 2014

Who doesn’t love Beauty and the Beast? Yeah, the endings are usually predictable (as are all fairytale retellings) but they’re still awesome reads. One of my favorite (and my sister’s!) fairytales just so happens to be Beauty and the Beast. Here are some YA retellings featuring B&B as the backdrop!

Beast

I still have to read this :) But it sounds amazing.

Cruel Beauty

This one was awesome. I loved the beast and the main character and the entire plot.

Beastly

BEASTLY by Alex Flinn
Doesn’t that synopsis just scream to be picked up? But then so did the author’s other novel, TOWERING, and that was a major disappointment.

Beauty and the Beast, the Persian version! Plus, DJN is supposed to be an awesome author.

Beauty and the Beast: The One Who Didn’t Run Away. Such a pretty title.

Why thank you, Lumiere.

What’s your favorite fairy tale? I might just compile a list of its YA retellings next week!

  1. Love this, I can’t wait to read Cruel Beauty! My favorite fairytale is East of the Sun, West of the Moon.

  2. East of the Sun, West of the Moon has the same concept as Beauty and the Beast, but it feels so much more enchanting, so that’s my favorite. :D

  3. Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite fairytale. From this list I’ve only read Cruel Beauty (I loved the ‘beast’ too), but I have the others on my tbr list. :-)
