Boring Books – A GIF Post

Greetings fellow earth-lings. We’ve all read those books that no matter how hard we try to like it, there’s just no hope for them.

And as Regina, oh so kindly puts it, they leave us not only bored but confused. And I’ll gladly add that I haven’t read many books like that ;)

The Circle

THE CIRCLE by Mats Strandberg & Sara B. Elfgren
Now this was a major letdown. 112 pages in and the story was just beginning, and I already felt like strangling
all the characters.

TOWERING by Alex Flinn
This book held so much promise, but insta-love, forced dialogue, and a dragging story-line don’t exactly scream awesome.

Shatter Me

SHATTER ME by Tahereh Mafi
This one has way too many metaphors and purple prose.

FURIOUS by Jill Wolfson
As you all know, I’m a sucker for Greek Mythology novel, so you can’t even begin to imagine how disappointing this was.

All these books led me to one expression:

I shall leave you with this bored baby.

You didn’t like shatter me? You’re the first person I hear saying that! But I think I also might be the only one who didn’t like the 5th wave! We all like different things..!

Shatter Me would make my list too. I didn’t make it very far at all. Everyone loves it so much that I want to give it another chance, but then I remember how boring it was and I just can’t.

Also Code Name Verity. SO. BORING.

I’m glad you said something about The Circle, because the cover would have totally got me. Fallen by Lauren Kate was a book that I was really underwhelmed by. The plot was all over the place and I hated the protagonist. Great post! :)

If you find these comments annoying well you’re not alone. I felt the same way in the pass but then I understood what it was all about. They are called backlinks. You may not comprehend this this fact but comment and URL posted on your blog will mutually benefit our Search engine performance. I don’t delete them from my site anymore. Google’s algorithm places a heavy weighting on the number of websites that are linking back to your website. These are backlinks or inbound links. Google’s logic is pretty simple: if other sites are referencing your site, then it must be a relevant and trusted site with relevant content. Feel free to post your link on my site.
