IceyBooks was founded in September of 2010 as a way to share our love for books. We review Young Adult, Middle Grade, and the occasional New Adult/Adult, host giveaways, chat with authors, and feature books, plain and simple. We post every day of the week, so there’s new content every 24 hours—or less!

Meet the bloggers behind IceyBooks:

HAFSAH:

Girl. YA writer. Reviewer. Book Blogger. Designer. Letterer.

Hafsah began IceyBooks in late 2010 after many months of reviewing for her local library’s teen blog. What started as just reviews has now expanded to interviews, giveaways, cover reveals, and blogging tips.

Aside from blogging, Hafsah is also an author. Her debut YA science fiction novel, UNBREATHABLE, which takes place on a planet much like Mars, released on October 29th, 2013.

In addition to being an author, Hafsah has been designing blogs and websites since the age of thirteen. In late 2011, she opened IceyDesigns and began professionally designing blogs, websites, print work and providing social media/marketing solutions to clients – both authors and bloggers alike.

ASMA:

Girl. 16. Sister. Homeschooled Student. Reviewer. Book Blogger. Cat Lover.

Asma began reviewing for IceyBooks in the summer of 2011, when life just got way too boring. Now, she has more books that she can keep track of and reads more than she expected to when she applied for the job. Not that she can complain.

If you see Asma’s profile anywhere on the web, she will be depicted as an assassin. Because, frankly, she is obsessed with assassins and pirates and cats. It might be becoming a problem.

    Hi Hafsah,
I am writing to ask if you would review my e-novel: ‘Nightmares and Other Therapy’, published by Damnation Books. Laura the main female character is seventeen, her boyfriend Michael is twenty. This book is set in England in the early sixties. There are no supernatural elements. I can provide an excerpt if that would be useful. If this book does not fit within your review parameters, please don’t feel obliged to respond.

Blurb: Michael couldn’t understand the nightmares that made him violent on waking, mostly because he didn’t have the courage to think his problem through. Eventually, pressured into entering a mental hospital by his employers he thought that here he would find answers and a way to a better life. He was never more wrong.

Comments that appeared from time to time on the Authonomy site about three chapters of this story:
You’ve created a good main character in Michael; he’s likable and sympathetic and the kind of character a reader wants to follow…..I found this book very compelling and feeling for Michael. He is such a character many readers could sympathize with…. What a moving portrayal of a man’s life…. Having got to the end of chapter three I am pretty upset and worried for him. This surely shows how good this is. His character has drawn me in….. I really like the style and the characters, and there’s great sympathy when needed….Do finish this, please!…What a moving story. Poor Michael, I just want to give him a hug. I want this to work out right for him. Please post more, I need to know how it turns out….

    Hey Hafsah!
I put a link to your website Icey Designs on one of my blog pages for blogging resources. I hope you don’t mind, but if you do then let me know. :) I’m trying to put together a sort of directory.

Have an awesome day/night, Skylar @Life of a Random

    Hi Hafsah!

I’d love to have you do my cover reveals! I can resend the images if you like. I’m a member of OneFourKidLit and I saw some of your other reveals which were really great.

    Best!
